Thamesmead Library is near Tavy Bridge. Inside the library is friendly, bright and welcoming. There's been a library here since 1974 and it was refurbished in 1998
We have books for children and adults, DVDs, talking books, PCs that are free to use, a photocopier, a fax and a Council Contact Point with Freephone.
The adult library is at pedestrian walkway level, the children's library is at street level. Internal stairs link the adult and children's libraries.
There is disabled access to both floors but no internal lift.
Bus numbers 229, 401, B11, 177, 180, 244 stop nearby. The nearest train station is Abbey Wood.
