Bexley Village Library Volunteer Group

The volunteers make and serve light refreshments in the library, help at the Reading Groups, provide IT taster sessions for beginners and organise and assist at fund raising events, such as the annual Open Day and at other library talks.

Bexley Village Library
This library is a friendly local community library close to Bexley Village shops. It was originally opened in 1919 and has been extended and updated over the years, with the most recent refurbishment in 2000. We have:

  • Books for children and adults
  • DVDs
  • Books on CD and Tape
  • PCs (free to use)
  • WiFi
  • A photocopier and fax
  • A public toilet (with wheelchair access)
  • A Council Contact Point with Freephone
  • Disabled access

Bus numbers 132, 229, 492 and B12 stop nearby and the nearest railway station is Bexley. Parking is available in a nearby pay and display car park. There is limited on-street parking.

IT courses

There are also regular IT Taster sessions run by volunteers at Bexley Village Library. These are free and informal and you don't need to have any experience of computers to go along. There are four spaces available at each session.
